Welcome to Savannah, Georgia. Arrive at lodging for a 2- night stay. Dinner.
Day 2
Breakfast. Savannah guided tour revealing the charm & sultry mystery of this carefully planned city and her wealth of history & architecture beautified by lush city parks, squares and fountains. Visit Pin Point Heritage Museum to learn about the lowcountry and Gullah culture. Free time at Savannah’s Riverfront. Dinner in Savannah.
Day 3
Breakfast. Tram tour of Jekyll Island and lunch at historic Jekyll Island Club Hotel. Journey to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina and arrive at Hilton Head lodging for 2 nights.
Day 4
Breakfast. Hilton Head Island cruise. Free time to stroll the ocean beach and enjoy resort amenities. Dinner.
Day 5
Breakfast. Guided tour of Beaufort, SC — haven to many preserved antebellum homes. Visit Charleston Tea Plantation. Arrive at The Mills House Wyndham Grand Hotel for 3 nights. Dinner.
Day 6
Breakfast. Cruise through Charleston’s historic harbor to Fort Sumter. Learn about the major events which led to the outbreak of America’s Civil War on this fully narrated tour with time to explore the fort & museum. Sit back as the grace of Charleston comes alive on a carriage tour through one of the best preserved, grandest historic districts of any city in the country. View the southern charm of Charleston in its beautiful homes, historic shrines, old churches, lovely gardens, winding streets, and intricate iron lace gateways.
Day 7
Breakfast. Guided tour of Drayton Hall ca 1738. This Georgian Palladian House is in its original condition surrounded by beautiful live oaks. Visit Magnolia Gardens ca. 1676 — oldest public gardens in America. Tour home, ride the tram to view blooming flowers and wetlands & enjoy box lunch. Free time during the late afternoon and evening exploring the charms of the Charleston Historic Market District. Dinner.
