Day 1

Welcome to North Dakota. Arrive at lodging in Fargo for a 1-night stay. Dinner.

Day 2

Breakfast. Guided tour of Fargo. Visit the National Buffalo Museum and “World’s Largest Bison Monument” in Jamestown. Arrive at lodging in Bismarck for a 2-night stay. Attend the Annual Indian International Powwow* of 70 tribes and 1500 dancers and drummers. Dinner.

Day 3

Breakfast. Tour the North Dakota State Capitol Building in Bismarck. Explore the North Dakota Heritage Center highlighting the state’s history of cowboys, Native Americans, Lewis & Clark’s journey through the state, and more. Cruise the Missouri River on the Lewis & Clark Riverboat. Dinner.

Day 4

Breakfast. Explore Fort Abraham Lincoln, the 400-yearold On-A-Slant Mandan Indian Village, and General Custer’s Home. Continuing westward travel along the Enchanted Highway to see the famous giant sculptures along the roadside. Arrive at the charming, century-old Rough Riders Hotel in Medora for a 3-night stay. Savor a local tradition—Pitchfork Steak Fondue for dinner atop a mountain. Attend the Medora Musical “under the stars” in an amphitheater cut out of the side of a mountain.

Day 5

Breakfast. Visit the Cowboy Hall of Fame in Medora. Guided tour of the scenic Theodore Roosevelt National Park— home of the Northern Badlands. This park is famous for its magnificent scenery with mountains and canyons, wild horses, and roaming bison. Dinner.

Day 6

Gospel Breakfast Show. Experience the NEW Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library & Museum. Enjoy "The Teddy Roosevelt Show" performed at Medora's Old Town Hall Theater. This show features stories from Theodore Roosevelt's life, with a focus on his time in the Badlands. Dinner.

This tour may involve navigating flights of stairs and uneven surfaces such as cobblestones, gravel trails, or rough pavement. On average this tour features required walking totaling approximately 1-2 miles per day.

Tour Pacing:

This tour includes full days with frequent visits to attractions. Multi-night hotel stays provide for a more moderately paced itinerary. Due to longer tour length, this itinerary involves more extensive travel.
