Day 1
Flight from Chicago to Fargo, ND. Tour Bonanzaville—a restored Western village which is home to dozens of restored buildings and 400,000 artifacts from the Old West. Arrive at lovely Radisson Hotel located in the heart of downtown Fargo. Dinner at hotel.
Day 2
Full breakfast at hotel. Be immersed in the unique culture of this urban outpost on a guided tour of Fargo. Head west to the state capitol city of Bismarck. Free time for lunch in Jamestown. Picture stop at the “World’s Largest Bison Monument” in Jamestown, ND. Dinner on the Lewis & Clark Riverboat as you cruise the scenic Missouri River. Arrive at the Hampton Inn Northwest Bismarck for 2 nights.
Day 3
Full breakfast at hotel. Guided tour of Bismarck which is home to the state’s unique Capitol building. Visit the North Dakota Heritage Center which recently completed a $24 million renovation. Learn about the state’s cowboys & Indians, Lewis & Clark’s journey through the state, and the recent economic oil boom. Attend the Annual Indian International Powwow which is home to 70 tribes and 1500 dancers and drummers. Dinner in area.
Day 4
Full breakfast at hotel. Explore Fort Abraham Lincoln —home of the 400-year-old On-A-Slant Mandan Indian Village, a historic military fort, and General Custer’s Home. Continue west to Medora stopping in New Salem, ND to see the world’s largest Holstein cow. Travel along the Enchanted Highway to see the famous giant animal structures along the roadside. Arrive at the century-old Rough Riders Hotel in Medora. Savor a local tradition—Pitchfork Steak Fondue for dinner. Attend the Medora Musical.
Day 5
Full breakfast at hotel. Guided tour of the scenic Theodore Roosevelt National Park - home of the Northern Badlands. This park is famous for it’s magnificent scenery with mountains and canyons, wild horses, and roaming bison. Dinner at hotel.
Day 6
Full breakfast at hotel. Visit the Cowboy Hall of Fame in Medora. Flight from Bismarck to Chicago.
