Day 1

Travel to Athens, Greece.

Day 2

Welcome to Athens! Travel from Athens airport to the Royal Olympic Hotel in Athens for a 2-night stay. Welcome dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 3

Breakfast. Guided tour of Athens, the birthplace of democracy. Discover the storied history of Greece’s capital city as you explore the Acropolis, an ancient citadel situated on a rocky hilltop overlooking Athens. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Acropolis was the cultural and religious center of ancient Greek civilization. It is home to famous ancient architectural wonders including the the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, and the Parthenon. Visit the Acropolis Museum, which hosts over 4,000 artifacts from antiquity. Enjoy a coastal drive past the wonderful beaches of Glyfada, Vouliagmeni and Varkiza as you journey to Cape Sounion. Visit the Temple of Poseidon constructed in 440 BC. Dinner in Athens.

Day 4

Breakfast. Journey to Mycenae to take in its impressive prehistoric archaeological site with the Palace and Royal Tombs, including the tomb of Agamemnon. Visit the Epidaurus archaeological site to learn about the development of classical Greek culture. Visit the Ancient Theatre, world famous for its outstanding acoustics, and the Asclepius Temple. Guided tour of old town Nafplio. Arrive at the Amalia hotel in Nafplio for a 1-night stay. Dinner.

Day 5

Breakfast. Travel through the central plains and mountain region of Peloponnese, with views of beautiful landscapes and villages. Stop in historic town of Dimitsana to visit its Open Air Hydrokinesis Museum. Arrive at Olympic Village Hotel & Spa for a 1-night stay. Dinner.

Day 6

Breakfast. Visit the archaeological site of Olympia, the cradle of the Olympic Games. Admire the sanctuary of the Olympian Zeus, the Stadium, the Temple of Hera, and visit the Museum of Olympia. Arrive in Arachova for a 1-night stay at Domotel Anemolia Mountain Resort. Dinner.

Day 7

Breakfast. Explore Delphi. Home to the famous Oracle of Apollo, Delphi was an ancient sanctuary and the religious center of ancient Greece. Marvel at the Temple of the Apollo Pythios, built on the stunning slopes of Mount Parnassus. See the Athenian Treasury, the Sancturary of Athina Pronaia, and the Delphi museum. Arrive in Divani Meteora hotel in Kalambaka for a 1-night stay. Dinner.

Day 8

Breakfast. Visit Meteora. Greek for “in the heavens above,” before Meteora is a complex of Eastern Orthodox monasteries built on natural sandstone rock pillars that arise dramatically out of the earth’s surface, creating a breath-taking scene. Flight from Athens to Mykonos. Arrive at Saint John Hotel Villas and Spa for a 2-night stay. Dinner.

Day 9

Breakfast. Guided tour of Mykonos. Delight in blue skies, beautiful snow-white houses, and lovely beaches. Explore the charming narrow streets of Old Town Mykonos, admire the famous city’s famous windmills, see fishermen on their traditional fishing boats, and small private chapels and homes built in Cycladic style. Experience the traditional Greek way of life and art of cooking as you enjoy an authentic dinner Myconian Home.

Day 10

Breakfast. Enjoy scenic blue seascapes on a ferry to Santorini. Arrive at Santo Miramare Resort for a 2-night stay. Dinner.

Day 11

Breakfast. Guided tour of the island Santorini to take in the island’s breathtaking scenery and Santorinian architecture, marked by whitewashed walls and bright blue domes sparkling under the sunlight. Wander through the white cobbled streets of Fira. Explore the traditional village of Pyrgos. Take in Profitis Ilias for a panoramic view of the island. Visit Red Beach and Black Beach both formed by volcanic activity. Learn about the fascinating history of Santorinian wine as you enjoy a wine tasing. Marvel at magnificent views from the traditional settlement of Oia. Dinner.

Day 12

Breakfast. Flight to Athens. Flight home.
