Day 1

Lunch at Paul Bunyan’s in the Wisconsin Dells. Sit back and enjoy scenic travel into northern Wisconsin. Check in to Victorian-style Hotel Chequamegon on the Lake Superior waterfront in Ashland, Wisconsin. Enjoy a gourmet dinner at the Old Rittenhouse Inn in Bayfield, Wisconsin. 

Day 2

Deluxe continental breakfast at hotel. Cruise Lake Superior to see stunning views of the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. Free time for lunch & shopping in Bayfield. Scenic travel along Lake Superior’s North Shore. Arrive at the Best Western on the Lake  Superior Shoreline for 2 nights. Dinner at the Lutsen Resort, Lutsen, MN. 

Day 3

Breakfast at hotel. Get a bird’s eye view of mountain fall foliage and waters of Lake Superior from the Lutsen Mountain Aerial Tram. Free time in charming lakeside artist community of Grand Marais, MN. Scenic drive along Lake Superior with picture stops. Scenic travel to the impressive reconstructed trading post at Grand Portage National Monument. Tour the site and discover the history bridging the Objibwe, voyageurs & fur traders of the North West Company. Marvel at the dramatic waterfall at Grand Portage State Park. Dinner at Naniboujou Lodge, Grand Marais. On the National Register of Historic Places, this lodge was an ultra-exclusive private club for members like Babe Ruth. Its Great Hall is brilliantly decorated in designs of the Cree Indians with incredibly bright colors.

DAY 4

Breakfast at hotel. Visit stunning Gooseberry Falls & tour the iconic Split Rock Lighthouse atop a rocky precipice overlooking Lake Superior. Free time in Two Harbors, Minnesota for lunch and shopping. North Shore Scenic Railroad narrated ride along the rugged Lake Superior shoreline and deep into the majestic Northwoods to Duluth. Check in for a two night stay at the Comfort Suites Duluth located at Canal Park overlooking Lake Superior. Enjoy fine dining at Valentini’s in Duluth.

DAY 5

Breakfast at hotel. Guided tour of Duluth. Visit Glensheen Mansion, an architectural masterpiece. Fine dining atop JJ Astor’s overlooking the city and lake. 

DAY 6

Breakfast at hotel. Lunch at Burnstad’s Restaurant, Tomah, Wisconsin.
