Day 1 - FLIGHT

Flight to Bergen, Norway.

DAY 2 - Bergen

Arrive at hotel in Bergen for 1-night stay. Evening at leisure.

Day 3 - Bergen, Embarkation in Bergen

Embark in Bergen. With your ship berthed next to Bryggen wharf, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you can easily stroll along its waterfront once you’ve settled in to your veranda stateroom. This evening mingle with the locals and dine ashore (B, D)

Day 4 - Bergen

See beautiful 18th-century wooden houses, the Hanseatic Museum and Troldhaugen, home of Norway’s famous composer Edvard Grieg. (B, L, D)

Day 5 - SHETLAND ISLANDS (LERWICK), SCOTLAND

Admire the rugged beauty of these remote island outposts and meet their famous residents – Shetland ponies. Visit archaeological site Jarlshof—evidence of Viking presence. Sail aboard a replica Viking longship and try your hand at rowing for a true Viking experience. (B, L, D)

Day 6 - THE HIGHLANDS (INVERGORDON), SCOTLAND

The Highlands are one of Europe’s most sparsely populated regions. View Loch Ness, legendary home of the elusive monster, and historic ruins of Urquhart Castle. (B, L, D)

Day 7 - EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND

Scotland’s capital is marked by medieval and neoclassical beauty, gracefully set among rocky hills and gracious green ribbons of park. Browse the Royal Mile connecting Edinburgh Castle and the Palace of Holyroodhouse. See medieval St. Andrews, birthplace of golf. (B, L, D)

Day 8 - ORKNEY ISLANDS (KIRKWALL), SCOTLAND

Ruled by Vikings from 9th to 13th century, the Orkney Islands are home to Standing Stones of Stenness, a 5,000-year-old circle of stones. Visit Stone Age settlement of Skara Brae. (B, L, D)

Day 9 - THE HIGHLANDS (ULLAPOOL), SCOTLAND

Cruise scenic Western Isles and explore Ullapool. Dramatic mountain peaks dwarf this former herring port village. Tour the village-dotted Wester Ross landscape, passing pristine lakes, craggy massifs and tranquil castles. (B, L, D)

Day 10 - Belfast, Northern Ireland

Belfast is a blend of Victorian flair and Irish charm. See Cathedral Quarter, City Hall, and St. George’s Market. Visit Giant’s Causeway, a spectacular seaside formation of 40,000 conjoined basalt columns. (B, L, D)

Day 11 - LIVERPOOL, ENGLAND

Discover birthplace of the Beatles. See neoclassical St. George’s Hall, Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral, and the “Three Graces.” (B, L, D)

Day 12 - HOLYHEAD, WALES

Located within a walled Roman fort on the northwestern tip of Wales, Holyhead is home to St. Cybi’s Church, the Holyhead Maritime Museum, and a cozy, coastal Welsh ambiance. (B, L, D)

Day 13 - DUBLIN, IRELAND

Tour the Republic of Ireland’s charismatic capital, to see Trinity College, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, and Dublin Castle. (B, L, D)
